Likes: TOYS/BALLS and play. Agility. Food. Off-Leash hikes.
Pet-Peeves: Being woken up from a nap. Not getting something right in Agility - because he's faster than I am! He barks to show his frustration when we mess up! He also will bite at my legs like a freshie when I'm not directing him correctly.
Favorite Toy: Tennis balls, chew toys, stuffed toys, squeeky toys, and basically anything.
Favorite Food: Natura's EVO dry food (with other high quality dog foods), high quality brand canned foods, and healthy fresh food add-ins. Remington LOVES chicken!
Favorite Walk: Off-leash hikes on trails, the beach, and basically anything, anywhere, anytime.
Best Tricks: Agility. He also knows: Sit, Stay, Drop it, Leave it, Down, Heel, Side, Spin, Reverse, BANG! - Play dead, Back, Speak, Paw, Other Paw, Through, Under, Touch, Roll Over, and Up. Adding new ones all the time!
Arrival Story: Remington came from a farm/stock dog breeder in Oklahoma - I thought perhaps he was an ACD/ASTCD mix, but turns out he is just a big ol' Cattle Dog! He was SO cute when I saw his little cattle dog body in his crate off the plane. I felt bad that he had to travel in a plane, but he arrived safe and sound. I love Remington - he is my soul mate =)
Bio: Remington is a fantastic dog, and I absolutely love Australian Cattle Dogs - they're the only breed for me! Rem is full of energy and loves to do anything and everything. He competes in Agility, and we're hoping to start competing in distance/accuracy disc dog, and also doing Herding. We are also interested in trying out (for fun) Freestyle Dance, Obedience, and Flyball. Rem can do it all - and I couldn't ask for a better dog. He is great off the leash, at the beach, at the dog park, hiking, camping, everything. He loves to fetch - balls, toys, frisbees, whatever! He is a phenominal frisbee catcher, and ball snatcher! When he has a ball, he is dropping it at my feet or on me until I throw it for him!! He loves swimming and if he see's water, he's there. I love to try and tire him out. He really can just keep going and going.

My best bud Chase: Rem says: "Chase is my best bud. We love to play together and just hang out. I have much more energy than him and can outlast him any day! I go over his house all the time and go lots of places with him. We go to the dog park together, the doggie stores, and all sorts of stuff. He's a good boy - sometimes! He likes to run away from his house and come to mine - I guess I'm just a cool guy to come see! Well anyways, he's my best bud!"
My Cattle Dog Friend Bella!: Rem says: "Bella is my Cattle Dog friend. I love her to bits and pieces! She's so cute like me! We talk all the time about all kinds of things. About toys and things we like to do. About what we did throughout the day, or what our plans are! We talk Cattle Dog all the time, and I love it! She's a cutie pie and we look a lot alike!"
So we don't exactly respect or listen to Daddy all that much =) .. and since Mom had to work, Daddy offered to take us for a hike by himself - which Mom said was a GREAT idea because it'll help our relationship. Mom gave Dad all the directions and information he needed for our hike, and off we went. We went to the Beverly Nature Preserve for 1 hour and 20 minutes.. It was so much fun, and was even better because it meant we were ok to relax for a little while until Mom got home. Dad took care of us, too! Once Mom got home, she took us to Weir Hill to meet up with Shale and her Mom. We hiked there for 2 hours and 15 minutes. We had such a blast. It really was an awesome day. We met a handsome boxer with cropped ears, and a beefy build - named King. He was soo silly!
Mom hasn't been feeling well, and is super tired.. but we really appreciate all the exercise!! Thanks Mom!!
Today we were supposed to go out and do funfunfun things since it was Mom's day off.. but Mom almost passed out outside, so I told her to take it easy.
So this morning we played in the house, and played in the yard for 1 hour. Rupert was doing zoomies all goofy and stuff! Super funny. I tried to snatch him in the midst of zooming.. Mommy didn't like that too much. We also go stuffed kongs and we're going to do 20 minute training sessions with the food from our dinner.. fun!
I also wrote a poem and entered it into the Dogster contest. Cool, huh? =D
Yesterday: Holy dog yesterday was an EARLY day. Mom had us up at 3:30am!! I went back to bed while I waited for my turn on the treadmill. So we each did 20 minutes on the treadmill. Then Mom gave us our breakfast in kibble balls. We played in the yard, and once Mom left Daddy took us for a 45 minute leash walk. Mom finally came home a couple hours after Daddy left and we played in the house for 1 hour - playing with toys, and Rupert played with Tyson. Then we went to Proctor Farm for 45 minutes and practiced our Come recalls, and just had a good time running around.
Today: Here is our plan- Another super early morning, Mom has to be at work at 6am.
20 Minutes on Treadmill
Breakfast in our kibble balls
45 Minute Leash walk with Dad
Daddy will stop in in the middle of the day to let us out (around 10-11am)
Mom will come home around 1:15pm, and then we will go to a field on Washington Street to play ball and stuff for like an hour.
Mom then has to make a phone call to an Animal Planet woman to see if we can get on that TV thing.. I don't know why she want's to get into that tiny thing, but humans are weird..
Later Rupert has class and we're gunna go to that.
Hope everyone is in warmer whether than we are =D And sleeping in a little bit.. Wags.
