Niso's just a pup, but he's a quick study! I would say his latest, Down, which he'll even do at a distance. Next stop: Stay!

Arrival Story:
When Chance was killed in July, I was devastated. I felt like it was my fault and I couldn't believe that my wonderful dog was gone. We had just built a fence in the yard so he wouldn't have to be tied up any more, too. The evening after he was killed, Niso wandered over to our house and JUMPED THROUGH THE FENCE INTO OUR YARD. He was pretty skinny! No one around knew where he came from or had even seen him before. He's the same kind of dog as Chance was, too, that Shepard/Lab/whatever else cross. It didn't take us long to decide to keep him. In Jim's words, "everyone deserves a second Chance."

Bio:
Niso is the Cree word for number two.
