Arrival Story:
Millie was at a high-kill shelter with her seven 5 week old pups. They were scheduled to be put down in 2 days. I heard about her on my local craigslist and had to go meet her. She couldn't be seperated from the pups because they were still nursing, and I couldn't take all of them, so I took one pup (I fugured saving 1 was the least I could do). I was so torn up about leaving Millie and the rest of the pups to die, but I had a new pup to care for. The next day I heard that a woman was going to save the rest of the pups and Millie, and I immediately e-mailed her and asked her to take back my one pup for a few more weeks so he could continue nursing, and in exchange I agreed to take Millie and the pup back when the puppies were weaned. I've had her for almost a year now, and other than a case of heartworms that has been treated, she has been a great companion and a great playmate for her pup Charlie.
