Favorite Toy:
A fluffy stuffed bone

Favorite Food:
Hope will eat anything. She lived on the streets for so long, begging for scrapes, eating out of trash cans, that any food makes her happy.

Arrival Story:
Hope was a Street Urchin, begging for scraps, and digging through Garbage Cans to stay alive. She was picked up by Animal Control, and ended up in a High Kill Animal Shelter in Ohio. She was matted, skinny, and scared. I heard about Hope through one of my Cocker Rescue Groups. We really didn't have room for another dog, but Hope looked so small & Pitiful, how could I say no? Hope is almost totally Blind, and has bad burns on her hind quaters. Hope is not a "pretty puppy" which is what people are usually looking for in the shelters they visit. People are looking for that perfect "pet". People walked passed her cage on a daily basis, no one wanted this matted, skinny, blind, burned, homely baby! But luckily for her, the shelter wasn't at capacity, and her personality made the workers at the shelter, give her "just one more day" She was on her "death walk" literally on her way to be gassed, when they stopped them, letting them know that someone did want her! She was 5 minutes away from being put to death. Hope had a rough begining, totally Hopeless! We Named her Hope, because she isn't Hopeless anymore, but rather a part of our loving Family! Hope has added a lot to our lives. She has taught us that a dog doesn't have to look perfect to be perfect.

Bio:
Hope was surrounded by other dogs that didn't make it out of the shelter. I beg you to please consider adopting from a rescue, or shelter, before buying that "perfect puppy" from a Pet store, or from an ad in the paper by a locale BYB.
