Arrival Story: Droopy was our very first basset. I always wanted a basset hound and there was a sign outside a small petshop by our house. At the time I didn't know about the whole puppy mill horrors. He was the only puppy left and the owner asked if I wanted to hold him. I kept saying "no" and she put him in my arms. All of a sudden he turned his head and gave me those eyes. I was totally hooked and there was no way I was leaving him. He joined our family of a Husky/St. Bernard (Duke (ATB)), a German Shepard (King (ATB)), and our cats (Cheetara (ATB) and Peanut) and fit right in. They all got along great.
He was almost 11 when he went to the bridge on St. Patricks day of this year and we couldn't have asked for a better buddy. Bio: The most lovable basset there was. He stayed brave until the end trying not to upset us. I've Been On Dogster Since:
