Birthday: August 31st 2004 Likes: To go for walks Pet-Peeves: Getting covered in a blanket Favorite Toy: The barking puppet and his squeaky balls Favorite Food: Bacon treats Favorite Walk: around the neighborhood Best Tricks: he can unroll the window in the car Arrival Story: Me and Chris went to the local animal shelter to get a buddy for Bebop. We looked at a little puppy and a hyperactive terrier mix. Neither really got us. The terrier was too hyper and I didn't want to go through those puppy months. When we were about to leave we saw a little terrier in a pen all by himself. He looked like he was half corgi and thus, Bebop's size. We brought him out and they actually chased each other around, well once he was done peeing and whatnot. So that's how he became ours. Bio: Murphy's personality has changed in the last year that he's lived with us. Him and Bebop are still little lovebirds but he seems a lot more playful and is overjoyed to see us whenever we come home. He's also become a bit more protective and has offered a little growl if someone gets too close that he doesn't know. As for the rats? He doesn't like them, but he's not trying to eat them. So I have spent two full years with this family now. I'm impressed. They say I've come out of my shell. When they first adopted me, I must admit, I moped around and I slept a lot. Bebop was also considered an annoyance to me. Oh, also I thought of small animals as something good to eat.
Now, every morning I try to get the whole house to play with me. Normally mom and dad get somewhat annoyed but I think it's cause they just get off work. I'll even let the cat play with my tail. I do eat her toys though so I guess it's her just getting even.
I wonder if I'll get a cake next year. *wink wink to dad* Also, I'm off prednisone and have been since that post. If they keep up with my K-9 Advantix I have no problems.
Alright, so it's been a few months since they made up another blog. But that's okay. Not like we have fans.
Anyway, my recent troubles have been flea allergies. I had to go to the vet and get prescribed a low dose of prednisone. It made most of my itching disappear and everything seemed to be going great. Well, that is until the side-effects took hold.
Mom found out I had been urinating in the bathroom and drinking a lot of water. She was worried for a little while but thought it might have been a fluke. The next day, she found more, not like I could help myself. Well, finally she stopped having me take my medicine and when mom and dad went to pick up our heartworm meds, she asked about the medication I was on and found out it was the medicine and was relieved. She thought I was having some sort of kidney problem.
That's about it for now. Oh, as for the fireworks, I didn't think they were scary -- Bebop is just a sissy.
I'm so glad, mom's been taking me out for 30 minute walks nearly every morning. I missed those alot when the cold weather, snow, and sleet hit. It's just been too cold before to go for walks.
I'm still not allowed to sniff at the rats. Mom and dad are scared that I'll try to eat them since I'm so tense when they're out. They say my whole body language changes drastically. I go from being mellow to tense and on the edge.
