Bug Off!

Its all about me!

I started out as Layla for my first 10 months of life. My owners decided they did not have enough time for me, so they put me in a shelter. Thats when I saw this really nice lady and decided she would be my mommy. I barked and cried at her and she ignored me. Finally another volunteer told her she should check me out. I acted kind of stupid but she still held me. She said I looked like a Maggie instead of Layla (ahhh, I was getting to her!). Another lady said "you named her now you have to take her!" Had my toes crossed! I was so excited that I snorted in her ear. Little did I know that made her fall for me. A couple of days later I was going to my new home. I am so happy! Mom had a 1st b-day party for me at a dog park with my new friends Louie(love him) Dutchess, Duke, Mandy and Ebony. I got lots of presents! Then, 7 months later I met Cruise. Boy was he handsome , although I acted like I was more interested in the sheep. Mom said he is a whippet and would be my brother. I stared at him all night(very excited). I don't think he liked that. It took a while and some of my fur missing (ouch!), but we are now best of friends. Mom said I am full of energy and love my ball and needed to find something for me to do. FLYBALL, that was the answer. It took 8 months of hard work ( I like to goof off at practice!) and now I am running with the team as the height dog (I'm short). I'm not super fast but, I make no mistakes. I love it! Okay,2 years have gone by since new brother.... What? Another sibling. Mom and her soft heart,uhg. Along came Sadie, She looks so much like me except smaller. She came from a puppie mill. Mom said she needed to know what the good life is. She takes all my toys drives me crazy. I love her! She loves to play fight(my favorite) and eat my food(not a favorite). Mom has taught her to leave me alone when I eat(yea!). Enough about them, back to me. Did I tell you I like to swim and do Lure Coursing? I am very competitive. I would do herding with my friends Modibo and Finighan if they would let me. This weekend mom is bringing home a foster pup. It is a Border Collie, Maybe it can show me how to herd! He will be adoptable(hint,hint!). Till next time..Magnolia P.S.
