Dear Mom

Dear Mom,

As I watch you from under the lush shade tree up here at The Bridge, I wanted to reach out to you so many times since Tuesday but I knew you weren't ready. I know that you and dad and Dolly are sad, but please try to remember that, while I miss you all terribly, I am free now. My gray is gone, my body doesn't ache, and I can chase the bunnies and squirrels again! The weather up here is eternally beautiful and I lay in the sun for a bit every morning and take a long walk every night. I sleep like a baby. (Although that may be from not having to hear Dolly snore!)

I just want you to know that I love you and am watching over you. Please don't miss me because I am still there with you all in your hearts. Oh and P.S. .... at The Bridge you do NOT get in trouble for licking the dirty silverware in the dishwashers!

Prayers Needed

Pups,

We just found out that the mom of one of our dear pup pals is ill and in need of our prayers. In the interest of her privacy, we will not mention names or the illness, but she could really use all of our prayers right now. Her prognosis is good and we are confident that she will make it through this with flying colors (even if the colors are a little muted sometimes), but there is nothing like the power of prayer, love, and doggy paws on your side. So please ... when you curl up with your pawrents tonight, could you just send one up for her? I'm sure the man upstairs will make sure it gets to the right place.

Guess what?

I have a boyfriend! His name is Spuds and he is soooo adorable! He's black and white just like me, but he's a Border Collie.

I'm pretty new to this whole dating thing ... I didn't know dogs could date, but I guess they can. I mean people date long distance on the internet, so why not dogs? BOL. Besides, who could resist his adorable face???

Anyway, I just had to gush. :-)

Arooooo! Turkey Day's a-comin'!

We looooooooove Turkey Day. Mom and dad save us BUNCHES of leftovers! Turkey is one of my most favorite foods in the whole wide world. And ohhhhh the sweet taters. Oh oh oh, and we can't forget the yogurt with real pumpkin stirred in! *sluuuuurrrrrpppp* I can't wait!

Mom said she's almost got our new pages ready to put up too. Hope they look cool. She's been working pretty hard on them and even made banners this time. Dolly said we should wake her up early in the morning with coffee so she can start coding, but we found out you need thumbs to do that. *sigh*

I'd better head for the bed. It's supposed to get really cold here tonight and I want to get the spot between mom and dad before Dolly does. She shouldn't be up there anyway ... everyone knows that the "no noses" shouldn't get too warm, right? *snicker*

Yay mom!

She's finally getting the hang of this page stuff! She said it wasn't so bad once she had time to sit down and practice. At least she didn't kill my page this time ... BOL!

C'mon mom!

Mom decided to start working on jazzing up my page for Halloween and boy did she mess it up! I told her she should wait til morning, but nooooooooooo....she couldn't do THAT now could she? So now she wound up having to strip out my WHOLE page cause she forgot to copy and paste everything over first. Nice huh? She just HAD to start with mine instead of Dolly's.

Growl. THANKS mom!

She said we will fix it in the morning and that she will bake me some special treats to make up for it. I love my mom even though she's a goon.

My sister the toon

My sister Dolly is a big goofball. Tonight when she was playing, she ran into the table where my dad's poker chip holder is. It fell, poker chips went everywhere, she jumped and ran across the floor like her butt was on fire! ROFLMTO!!! She was sooooooo funny! If you've never seen a bulldog run, it's hilarious! Who knew the little chubster had it in her?

OMD I am still BOL. What a maroon!

Guess what? Mom and dad are going away for the weekend! I hate when they leave us. I mean, Brad (our 19 year old furless brother) stays with us and takes good care of us, but it's not the same. He doesn't spoil us like mom and dad. And we can't sleep with HIM.

Sigh.

Got your spot, dad!

My dad had back surgery a few years ago, so when the weather changes he doesn't sleep so good and goes out on the couch to watch TV so he doesn't disturb us or mom. He usually takes a pillow out just in case he can fall back to sleep.

Mom accidentally woke him up this morning when she got our breakfast, and when he got up, I jumped up on the couch, stole his spot, layed my head on the pillow, and snuggled under his nice warm University of Tennessee blanket. (Go Vols! Sorry, just had to shout that out.) Anyway, mom said she had to get a picture of me since I looked so human. It's up above if you want to see it. I keep TELLING her that humans and dogs aren't so different. Maybe some day she'll believe me.

I got my KONG back! ROFLMTO!!!

Mom bought some KONG balls for my sister so that she could play soccer. Once those balls came out of the box, Dolly forgot ALL about my KONG. She still plays with her black one, but now when she sees my red one, it makes her want her balls. BOL! 'Bout time she recognized who's boss!

Dolly can't get up on the bed if mom moves her stairs, so mom told me that I have to keep my KONG on the bed when it's stuffed. Yeah right. I may for a little bit, but you KNOW that I will have to strut it by my sister just to annoy her. If she takes it though, all I have to do is nose one of those red balls at her and off she goes! If brains were dynamite, she couldn't blow her nose. Don't tell mom or dad I said that!
