Arrival Story:
I was the outcome of a bargain deal. My dad told my mom if she got a cat he was going to get a dog. Viola! Here I am. Dad wanted a small dog that wouldn't shed a lot. Mom found a mini pin breeder who owned my mom and I had just been born. Mom and dad came to look at me and dad fell in love immediately. I was only 7 days old so I didn't pay a lot of attention to them but boy did my fur mommy keep a close eye on them. When I turned 7 wks old my human mom and brother came and got me. They put me in a big box...boy did I cry all the way home. Been here ever since, and I love it!

Half the time she thinks she's a cat. Her "brother" TJ is 4 mos older and welcomed her in with open paws. She pounces just like TJ and is actually 2 lbs lighter than the cat. She loves to rough house with him and thinks she's actually a large doberman. I have one floppy ear and one straight ear. It gives me character. The breeders cut my ears themselves and did a horrible job. I had to have bilateral knee surgery (breeder issue) because my knees would dislocate constantly. I feel a lot better now. My fur momma was chocolate and my fur daddy was colored like me. (Rust and Black). I have a chocolate nose and when the light hits my face right I have chocolate tints. I also have a bat shape on my rear below my tail. The rust amongst the black looks like a bat.

It's been awhile since my mom has helped me paw out my thoughts. She thinks she's busy with work and school. She has no idea how busy life can be when you're digging for things in the grass and getting into the human kids candy.
I no longer have to go into my kennel thingy much anymore. My dad broke his left paw (leg) and his home on something they call workman's comp for 3 months. I'm enjoying the time with him.
Mom is still my favorite. I love hearing that garage door open cuz I know she's coming home. I love to give her big hugs and follow her everywhere.
I also love that the weather is getting warmer. Mom has been taking me on a lot more walks. I'm really not liking that white cold wet stuff since my knee surgery.
Gotta go, I hear my treat tin opening.
Woof for now.

On Tuesday my dad went to the pet store in Defiance that Aunt Melissa told my mom about. He bought me a brand new red leather collar. I love it so much, it's looser than the last one and kinda girly looking. It's rolled leather instead of flat so I can itch under it really good with my back paws. AHHHHH Heaven.
Mom also bought me a new kind of treat on Monday. They are soo yummy. I know when she starts rooting around on that sheld under the microwave it's time for me to sit and shake and I beg really, really well to get one. They just never last very long.

It's finally almost the weekend when my family can stay home with me all day and let me lounge in their laps.
Lastnight I was really busy. I had to supervise the lawn cutting and bark to chase any person strolling by away from the house. Wouldn't want them walking near my newly cut grass.
Bailey and Hannah two dogs up the road walked by and I had to bark my hellos to them. Bailey looked but Hannah doesn't like other dogs so she just stuck her tail in the air and kept walking. Snob!
After the hard work of mowing the lawn I snoozed in moms lap until bedtime and licked the sweat off the beer can. Someone has to do it, wouldn't want that to drip on my head or mom's lap. Also I had to beat my brother TJ to it.
I also played with my dog a little and made him squeek. I soooo love doing that. BOL!
