Arrival Story:
I was in 8th grade when a friend of mine mentioned that he dachshund had a litter of two puppies. After telling him how I'd love to have a wienerdog, she told me that I could have the female, since the male pup was already sold. So, I went to pick her up in late January of 2000. She was so small that she could sit in the palm of my hand.

Bio:
Sandy had been with me for the past 11 years. She was my very first dog, and I was the only owner she knew. I was able to spend her whole life with her, and watch her grow and change from a rowdy puppy to an easy going senior. Sandy Jo passed away on March 30, 2010. It was the hardest thing I've ever dealt with, and I miss her every day. She was my girl, and the light of my life. My life hasn't been the same since she passed. I know she's now romping on the rainbow bridge pain-free and happy. Just the way I want her to be. Sandy, you're gone, but never forgotten. You'll always live in my heart.
