Brushing up on our 'walk' 'wait' 'stay' 'lay' and basically just manners skills recently~ she was so cute today during our session. Such a puppy at 9years of age!! She had such fun with 'come' 'walk' and 'leave it' but you could guess her fave is 'take it' :P

AND- maple was 'push'ing things i pointed at-- HOORAY.. this includes an upside down frisbee, woodstock the toy, and a flat folder!

All of this at work, an environment they HATE. I'm proud.

a great way to piss off any pet parent:

tell them you will "smack their dog and you dont care who 'it' belongs to" when you were just warned that you are offending the dog and should stop because she takes what you are doing seriously.
to top it off, it's understandable that a dog doesnt want you to put your foot so close to her face that quickly- even if you think you are playing.. and no, walking over a dog who is laying down is not a good idea when she has had her back stepped on, smashed in a recliner, and injured other ways numerous times.. it looks like you are going to kick her! duh!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for offending our whole family.

Having a foster dog that has to be walked on a leash to go potty and re-trained basic door manners, etc.. reminds me just how awesome my kids really are. Cinnamon and Maple are SO easy compared to other dogs. They automatically sit near the door, a few feet back so I can open it, come back to the porch when they are done rummaging through the yard, sit politely for their meals, get in their beds on their own.. I need to spend more time with my kids.
I really wana start doing more training(clicker) with both of them. Mine and Cinnamon's bond could use some work.. she is more of her other mommy's dog, but we are always working on ours, too!!

I took Cinnamon and Mapleboy to the big creek greenway today after my morning shift. I cannot believe how wonderful they both did, but I'm especially proud of Cinnamon. They passed several other dogs of different sizes, some running, some walking, some pulling towards us. Cinnamon only got aggitated once with a larger dog.

I truly can't express how happy I am with her! I wish she would be that comfortable every time she saw a new dog. Now we need to begin introductions.

She also got a bathy. They are both waiting to go home, resting at my feet. Oh goodness, how I love them.
