Arrival Story:
My first Corgi, Pete, passed away at 13 and it was so hard. I felt I would never get another dog because it was so hard to loose him. But I did whisper to him as he passed that if there was another dog for me that he would send them to me. I always would start my day by checking Petfinder for Corgis in our area. I had been doing that for years even when Pete was alive. About 6 months after Pete passed I felt I was ready to serious look for another Corgi. It could be a mix, but I wanted to rescue. So I kept checking Petfinder and not long after that this beautiful face showed up! I was so anxious to meet him! I knew the minute the girls from the rescue brought him to meet me that he was my dog. Peanut was a gift from Pete! And it was right around the time of my birthday too! Peanut had been returned to a pet store because the people who bought him thought he had hip dysplasia. A local rescue group heard of him and took him in. And I was the lucky one to get him. He has no signs of hip problems and he is a perfect dog in every way! I feel so lucky to have him!!

Peanut enjoys the dog park like crazy. So crazy he already torn one ACL. sigh. No worries, he had an operation (that’s the reason for the hat of shame in his top picture) and he’s coming along very nicely.
