Then I thought well there are so many people helping people what can I do to help the animals? Some friends and I put together a rescue helping the Humane Society/Rescue shelter in New York about 1/2 a mile from the T.C. We brought back 37 dogs and 6 kittens and my pick to adopt was Pedro since i had just lost one of my other Pit Bulls to cancer. They were not going to let me have Pedro because he was due to be euthanized that morning because he had been there to long and he had a rowdy personality they didn't think he was placable. Well i kept at them about my animal experience and training abilities until a man by the name of Pedro finally tore up my Pedro's papers and snuck him out the back door for me! So I named him after the man that saved him for me. Bio: Pedro is like a cat, his favorite place to lay is on top of the fridge! He hops up there right from the floor. That's why I call him Tigger and Mr. kittty. He has so many characteristic's like a cat, jumping on the frodge, laying on the back of the couch, cleaning his face with his paws, chasing bugs and playing with them. Forums Motto: The best New York Rescue!!! The Groups I'm In: Bully Ed 101, Cesar's Dogster Pack, Pawsome Pups, The FURminator® Group For Dogs The Last Forum I Posted In: Why don't people pick up their dog's waste? 8-22-2007: Pedro had a tough personality when he first came home from New York. We did alot of training during each day and additional socializing at my business daily. He seem not to catch on to the commands I was using so I trained him in German which he caught on to the words right away. Pedro was already 5 months old when i rescued him so he already had learned some bad habits. Now once and a while he gets a crazy spirt but for the most part he is a great relaxed dog.
Saturday May 2, 2009 mom took me and my brother Clay to the Vet for something called a heartworm test and for the Vet to check a bump on my leg. Mom told us our heartworm test came back negative but that I have a bad tumor on my leg and that the doc said that I won't get any better becuz it has already spread and that it is a bad cancer, what ever that is. I don't know but mom was crying the whole day. She said that she loves me so much and after all I was thru as a young pup that it's not fair that I was only 7 and had auch a bad thing now. I hope my mom does better soon. I love life and this just doesn't seem right to me.
