Wow what a whirlwind

So my family tried to get a second dog.
Turns out she was really sweet but she just didn't want to go outside.. and I don't mean "go" outside I mean step foot outside.
That doesn't work for us...we are on the go 80% of the time.
So little Ivanka went to a new home with some nice lady that the fam met over at Homeward bound. The lady was looking for a house dog, one that didn't require a bunch of exercise and adventure. Perfect! Now we will resume the search for my next and hopefully permanent buddy! A note to all of you foster/placement agencies and organizations. If someone puts a request for a certain character of dog.. that's probably what they should get. :)

So we went on vacation or rather a weekend getaway.. Now Chavez is a total spaz and is trying to disobey the rules. I imagine that it's his little way of getting back at us. I ain't buyin' it though because I know he had a fabulous time hanging out with Umlaut the whole weekend! :)

August 29th - Dog park day

Well it was hot today. Not hot by most states standards but definately hot for WA. So the dog park was not ventured to until roughly 6:15pm. The sun is starting to set earlier so by about 7:30 it was behind the trees. Chavez had another try at the whole swimming thing. He only wants to go in if the boy goes in. The boy doesn't mind so in they went. The Chav seems to feel pretty peppy after his semi-dip. Racing, jumping and racing some more.
Some of our favorite bull dogs were in attendance, Papinno and Georgie.
Naturally Oomlaut was there having a good ole time, he rode with us as did his FM. It is funny to me that if most of the other dogs run, Oomlaut gives chase, but he definately thinks of Chavez as his buddy and they don't really do that same thing with each other. I'm not sure why that is really. If you know or think you know, maybe you could enlighten me. :)

First grooming appointment in Redmond 08/22/07

Today Chavez went to Petco for his first grooming appointment. (Since I have had him). They bathed him, brushed his teeth, cut his toenails, trimmed the hairs around his woohoo and between his toes and did the gland thing.
I have to say the best part was the tooth brushing and the hair trim.
And now his coat feels very luxurious. :) The mullet is in raging form...rad!
