Strike a Pose

The 'rents thought it would be a fun idea to take us to a new park today since we had been inside all week because of the rain and them busy working. I got to walk by myself while Levis and Miah tried out their new coupler. We jumped in the car and drove to the other side of town. As usual I got to sit on Mama's lap...and Miah was car sick, yuck!!

When we got to the surprise place there was a really big arch way. Mama said it was the Japanese Gardens and we could hear bats squeeking and ducks quacking. We started walking along, sniffing up all the new smells. It was really fun! I saw a turtle and lots of funny looking birds. There was a waterfall that Miah and Levis had their photo taken near, even though they hate water! I walked across the bridge like a good girl and they followed me, eventually. Mama made me hop accross some little stones that made a path through another stream. I was scared but I still did it. Miah didn't have much fun at all because she was attached to Levis and all he wanted to do was drink from the stream!

As we were getting ready to leave we walked past a bunch of Japanese students who attend the University that the park backs onto. They were really lovely and thought we was totally cute. A few girls came over and pat Levis and Miah. When I caught up they wanted to pet me but I barked at them, which made one girl scream! All of her friends laughed at her, and so did I. Mama picked me up and let her pat me. She was a nice girl. Her friend grabbed her camera to take a picture and then everyone came over with their cameras too!! They were taking pictures of Levis and Miah together but everyone wanted to get in the picture with me!!!!! Mama held me close and gave me a rub behind the ears so I stayed calm. It was fun. I got lots of pats and I made sure I had my biggest smile on. People were taking a lot of pictures and posing with me. Mama and Papa said it was "surreal" but I thought it was really tiring! I think I would like to be a model though, someday. :)
