Birthday: November 7th 2004 Likes: Being anywhere with humans, Dingo bones, herding the cats, herding humans Pet-Peeves: Not having a Dingo bone, thunder and fire Favorite Toy: Only Dingo rawhide bones, I won't play with or chew on anything else! Favorite Food: Solid Gold Hund-N-Flocken Favorite Walk: Anywhere Mom takes me Best Tricks: "Give me Five" and "Crawl" Arrival Story: Adopted Demi on election day, November 2006, from Williamson County Humane Society. She was found stray in a parking lot and kept at shelter for over 2 months! She is the most wonderful dog, other than a fear of fire and of course, major Border Collie thunder phobia! Runs like the wind, so she might have some greyhound mixed in somewhere. Bio: Demi recently passed her AKC Canine Good Citizen test and has her cool diploma!
Wonderful companion--loving, doesn't bark, chew or dig. Hates to get messy! Loves people & kids, loves riding in the car. She's currently learning to like canoeing and camping. Forums Motto: I'm a Canine Good Citizen! The Groups I'm In: !Border Collie's Only!, Dogs of the Eastside, Nasvhile Fun with Dogs Group, Trupanion Pet Insurance Clubhouse I've Been On Dogster Since:
After lots of hard work, me & my Mom worked together to get my Canine Good Citizen Diploma in November! I'm so proud to have it hanging above my dog bowl. I still sometimes try to ignore her, but she doesn't let me (and I'm glad cuz I'm NOT afraid of cars...)
Today was my "birthday". Mom adopted me 2 years ago from the shelter on a freezing, rainy day. I've been warm & dry ever since! I've learned so much in 2 years--of course, the normal stuff like Sit, High Five, Down, Crawl and Stay--but I also had to kinda learn how to play and be a REAL DOG again. I was always scared of being wrong.... But I went from being a nervous, aloof dog to running and playing with my furry pals. My Mom's friends say I'm "adorable" and "sweet" and "chill".... I like to think so!
After lots of extra love and playing (and a special treat for dinner), we've wrapped up our anniversary day. Right now, I'm sleeping on my warm doggie bed, dreaming and chasing squirrels in my sleep... Today was a good day. Zzzzzzzz......
My human posted a new picture today and it's the FIRST good picture of me since she rescued me last November! It was at Barkaroo, a dog festival in Murfreesboro, TN. Look, my eyes aren't glowing green! And I'm actually looking at the camera for once, cuz I couldn't see that evil flash coming!
