After living in apartments *blah* they finally move into a house 9/06.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~A Twinkle in Mom's Eye:
In Febuary '07 mom decided it was finally time to adopt the fur babe they had been longing for. She went to the local animal shelters webpage and saw me. Mom says it was love at first sight. Especially after she read their description of my personality. They said I was "shy and nervous". But I was really scared because I wasn't home and feared for my life.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Our First Meeting:
Mom immediately contacted the shelter and arranged a visitation. Mom and daddy were escorted to a 'visiting' room. I was taken out of my cage and was frightened. I didn't know what was going to happen. Then the woman opened up a door and there was my mom and dad. I wasn't sure what to do, so I hid under mom's chair. She got down on her hands and knees and convinced me to come out. Mommy picked me up and held me on her lap. Mommy kissed and cooed at me. I began to feel safe. The first time in hours. My body began losening up and I felt less fearful.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~The Waiting Game:
As I had just been brought in to the shelter, I had to wait 72 hours before I could go home with my new family. It was awful when mom handed me back over to the shelter lady. But, mom and dad promised to be back the next day and to bring me some food.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Leaving the Shelter:
On Feb. 12 2007 mom and dad came to fill out the final adoption papers and I was brought out once more and put into my mommy's arms. Mom carried me to the car and we drove to the vet to make sure I was okay.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Home-Sweet-Home:
Mom, dad and I were driving in the car for a while when daddy turned into a driveway. Mom and dad kissed me and told me that I was fianlly home. Mom took a picture of me, { its the one over to the left of this post }, I was so tired and exhaused that I fell asleep after my bath and dinner *blush*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I also have two Uncles on Dogster that I love very much. They are Goober and Pippers Bio: After bringing Daisy home, it was important that we let her know that she was safe and secure. At first, she was scared of every little noise.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
She adapted quickly to letting us know when she needed to go outside and as each day went by she grew more and more confident in her self and us.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
We often wonder how she came to be a stray. It is apparent, that whoever owned her first, loved her. She has no residue of being abused in any way.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Now, she rules the roost and is very social. She wants to know what's going on all around her and play, play, play!
Forums Motto: I'm the baby, gotta love me

My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is: Honourable Lady Daisy the Nefarious of Mousehole by Sea
Most days when mom is on the computer, I like the lay on the futon. Last night, before mom, dad and I went to bed, I decided to kick-back a little and just enjoy the moment.
Last night, I decided I wasn't going to sleep in my parents room but in the spare bedroom on the woobie which was on the futon *grin*
Mom told me she missed me last night but understood that I am grown-up enough to now make decisions on my own.
I really love sleeping on my woobie during the day when mom is on the computer. It's a larger bed and my own room. Mom and dad are just a few feet away, so I know I'm okay.
