Cabin Dog

Well lucky me!!! I got chosen from the three of us pups to be the one who gets to go with Dad on the guy's fishing trip this weekend and be the "cabin dog". I got to go last year and I must have done good because Dad's got all my stuff packed and ready to go again. I had a blast last year swimming, chasing ducks and squirrels and chipmunks, not to mention all the love and attention from the guys and treats ... they are all such suckers for my begging! :D.

Spring Break at Camp Potts

Hello all from Camp Potts. It’s the first time we 3Vs have spent any extended time at someone else’s house. I guess you could say we are on Spring Break. Camp Potts is pretty cool. There are tons of dog toys for us to play with. I’m not kidding…you can actually stand in the toy box and root for something to play with. My favorite is the bones. I have been in chewing bliss for four days now. Then we spend lots of time out in the big back yard playing. Chris our camp counselor joins us out there to watch us play. She has two dogs herself. Her Magnum is a young handsome German Shorthair pointer and her Dottie is a fourteen year old pointer. They are very gracious hosts. The camp has a designated dog couch. How cool is that? Sure, we miss Mom and Dad but if you have to be away from home Camp Potts is a good place to be. Chris dotes over us as much as Mom and Dad do. She begged Mom for a chance to watch us. Mom was afraid we might be too much of a handful, but Chris insisted, so here we are. Sunday we leave Camp Potts. I hope we can take some bones home.

Gotta Get Packing

Dad's got this guys' fishing trip coming up in a week and even though I'm not a guy I'm going along as the cabin dog. I've been to the resort twice before but always with Mom and Dad. We'll be leaving Mom and Rikee and Rubee at home. I'll be with Dad, Grandpa, cousins Greg and Phil and a couple friends. I bet I'll be spoiled rotten. I'm anticipating lots of treats. Gotta get packing!

Another Fun Social Evening Out

Dad couldn't make the doggie social tonight and since Rikee got to go to agility last night and Rubee has her long walk Monday night, Mom took me.

I had a blast smelling big butts and small butts and getting treats and I even had my caricature done by a local artist.

Fortunately it didn't rain like it was forecast to do. I can't wait to do it all over again next month.

Doggeriffic event

Rikee and I got to do something really neat the other day. A local restaurant with an outdoor patio area held a social dog event. Dad just happened to be over there so he called Mom at home and told her to "bring over the two good ones" (meaning Rikee and I because Rubee gets overwhelmed by strange dogs). So Mom brought us over and we had a blast sniffing butts and getting petted. I tried to eat some old gum off the parking lot and got scolded by Mom. But then a kind lady gave us both a few french fries. Rikee wolfed hers down too fast and coughed up her whole dinner and the french fry. I would have eaten the french fry and the pile of kibble, but guess who scolded me again. *sigh*

Anyway we made a lot of new friends and found out that this is going to be a monthly event. Mom and dad had a good time chatting with all the other pawrents and petting the other pups. I'm sure they'll be up to taking us again.

Twice cut today

Doc decided to remove a fatty lump on my chest while she had me under for the lump in my mouth. So I have stitches now on my chest and Doc dressed me in a T-shirt to keep me away from my stitches. The T-shirt says "Showboat Branson Belle" on it. (I like the Belle part). I'm pretty tired. It was a taxing day but so far my mouth and chest aren't bothering me. I have to be on soft food for a week and in ten days I get the chest stitches out. My mouth does't have stitches. Doc cauterized that incision. I get the pathology report Thursday. We're all hoping for good news. Mom will feel relieved if we get a good pathology report.

Mom and Dad got me a special dessert treat of vanilla ice cream. That was the highlight of today.

Back to the doctor

I gotta go back to the doctor. The lump in my mouth is back so Monday my doctor is going to remove it again. Mom thinks it didn't get totally removed last time and that's why it is back. Hopefully it will be benign like last time and the doc will get it all. Keep your paws crossed for me. It will be a one day trip. Dad's going to drop me off and then pick me up after work. Last time it wasn't a bad procedure. Hopefully it will go smoothly again. Course Mom and Dad worry about me. It will take a few days to get the pathology report.

Here we GO!!!!!

1. What color is your collar?
My collar is a brown leather collar with a brass name plate rivited to it. I don't get to wear theme collars....dad won't allow it.

2. What kind of food do you eat?
I get Eukanuba Senior Dog food. I don't know why I get "senior" feed I still feel like a puppy. Something about it being good for my joints.

3. What are your favorite treats?
Bread and butter. But I'll eat just about any treat because I love food!!!!

4. Do you have a Valentine or significant other??
Nope

5. Do you get Table Scraps?
Not often. We do get to lick off plates when just family is arround :)

6. What is your favorite toy?
I like to chew on Nylabones. I'm also partial to playing with wild bunnies...but they are few and far between.

7. When is your Birthday?...
My birthday is in September. I'll be 10 this year.

8. How many times a day do you get to eat?
Two times a day. In my personal opinion that is not enough. Mom and Dad get to eat three times a day!

9. Do you have a favorite color?
No favorite....red looks nice on me.
