Arrival Story:
I had a Cairn as a teenager, and he was THE best little dog. I've wanted one ever since, but couldn't afford one. A co-worker and I were talking, and he mentioned that his fiance's mom breeds dogs. I asked what kind, and he said Cairns. Hubby and I asked if he could get us a good deal on one, and he said he'd talk to her. On Mother's Day, the guy called me and said he had it worked out. When I went to pick her up, he handed her to me and said, "She's free. She's my gift to you."
Bio:
Penny is such a joy to the whole family. She's always excited to see us when we get home, and she will often ask us, "Where WERE you?" Some may say she's just barking, but WE know the truth! :-)

4-3-2007 My mom just doesn't understand me...She took Sadie and me outside in the back yard to go potty. She's been doing that lately, without our leashes! Well, there was a DOG walking down the street, with her human. Unbelievable! How DARE they walk down MY street? Sadie and I launched an attack! Mom, Katie and Emily were all screaming our names. Surely they were encouraging us! I know Mom doesn't like pit bulls...
Well, when Mom caught up to us, she picked me up kind roughly and took me inside and ordered me into my crate. Katie brought Sadie in by the collar. I don't understand! There were two of us against one of them! Mom was pretty upset with me. But, she did give us leftover steak and ribs for dinner, so I guess she's not TOO mad at me.
