We saw her picture on Petfinder.com and fell in love with her. She was just a fuzzy ball when we picked her up at Vernon Hill. We were told that she was a golden and lab mix but as she grows up she turns out to be more like a border collie and golden mix. Bio: Vicky is officially the first puppy of mine and my boyfriend. She was a little shy at the beginning but opens herself very quickly. I held her on my lap on our way drive home and she felt asleep and had a yummy dream. She is an incredibly intelligent puppy. She didn't know how to walk on a leash the first day. The second day she has learned it and recognize the fun of walking. She learned to use a training pad almost overnight and at the same time enjoys going potty outside!

After the Frist Week:
The first week went fast and our relationship with Vicky has progress a lot. She now knows the command "sit, down, and come" the come doesn't work all the time she sure is a intelligent puppy and learns everything fast. Potty training goes really well. Only a couple accident during play time.

Update: April 2008--
Vicky is 9 months old now, couldn't imagine how she grows up so fast. She is a big girl and knows the rules at home better and better. She loves going to the dog park and play with her pup friends. Yesterday after we left dog park, daddy and mommy decided to toke me to the PetSmart to buy me some food. Geez, you can't imagine how dirty I was after rolling around in the park in a rainy day. Mommy said my hair was so dirty they stick together like a iron wire.
As soon as we entered PetSmart there was this nice lady who came to us and asked if I needed a bath. I was thinking: okay, I know I'm dirty, but I'm not gonna let a stranger give me a bath! Daddy and mommy thought it was a good idea though. The lady led us into a grooming room. I was nervous being taken by some stranger since last time I was in a spay clinic.
They gave me a bath, trimmed my nails, and cleaned my ears. It was actually very comfy I have to say. When mommy and daddy came pick me up, mommy was so happy and just couldn't stop admiring my soft furs on our way home!
Yea Hey! Tomorrow is my 5-month birthday. Since it's also Thanksgiving, I feel really special and happy. Daddy doesn't think it's really a birthday though, because he said you only celebrate birthday when you are one year old, two year old, and three year old.....Whatever. Mommy is happy because I am 5 months old, finally!
Mommy and daddy took me to a trip yesterday. We left early in the morning, too early I didn't even have my breakfast. It was a long ride in the car. I saw lots of cars from the window. When we finally got to a place mommy called clinic, I met some pups and kitties, which is fun because I like making friends. We waited there for a while then mommy and daddy led me into a small room. There's this lady who asked daddy to put me on a weight (what is that?) and forced me to sit. Then I was put onto a table where the lady started to examine me. Then I was down to the floor again and some lady took me over from mommy and daddy. Then I started to feel very sleepy, the next thing I know is that I woke up in a cage. It was after quite a while when a lady came and let me out of the cage, then I saw daddy and mommy! I don't really know what happen to me, all I know was that my belly kinda sore, but it seems to be a good thing because mommy held me on the car all the way home!
