Arrival Story: ADOPT 09 CONTEST
I got a call one day asking me if I had room for another abused little guy. I was on the phone long enough to find out where he was and called my friend and asked her to go with me. When I got to where this beautiful little guy was and I saw him, it was love at first sight. Here was this beautiful long hair red Dachshund male standing in the middle of the room. His head was hanging down. I asked the lady his name and she said Red. I said "Red, come to me baby." He dropped and rolled on his back and shook like a tree in a storm. I sat down, put my hand out to him and called again. He turned his head to look at me, and it was like he knew. And I knew. We were meant to be together. He rolled over on his tummy and crawled to me and was still shaking. I put my hand down to him, he sniffed it and he bolted into my arms. He was only six months old. So tiny to have gone through what he did. The lady handed his AKC paper work and said "Get him out of here." She didn't have to tell me twice. It took a lot of work with him before he finally realized he was HOME and SAFE. He was so very thin and terrified of everything and everybody. My Dutchess took one look at him and started mothering him. She did that with all my rescue's. This little red fuzz ball has stollen my heart, hook, line and sinker. How could anyone abuse a wonderful and such a loving furbaby as this? Or ANY furbaby for that matter

Lets face it, I am one furry lush. I love to go in the car. In fact, I think I should be the driver, Oh how I LOVE to be held or just in a chair next to mommy, snuggling with the other furkids. Did I mention treats??? Can't forget them.
