Arrival Story:
I am a groomer and I groom rescue dogs every once in a while. Toby was a rescue dog that came to me to get groomed so he could better be adopted. After taking him out of his crate and talking to him for a short time I fell in love with this little dog. I already had 4 dogs and just couldn't see taking in another one. My big Rottie had died a few weeks before Christmas, Toby came to me a couple of weeks after Christmas. I hoped Toby would be a terrible little Shih Tzu to groom, kind of like a lot of them. But he wasn't. He was so very good. Behaved so well for his grooming. The only little thing that he didn't like much was having the hair on the bridge of his nose shaved with the clipper, but he was just fine with the thinning shears. I talked to my hubby and asked him what he thought about adding one more little dog to our family. He came into the shop and started playing with him. Toby would chase a ball and bring it back to you. He was just so happy to be with us. There was nothing we could do. This little dog had captured our hearts, he was part of our family.
