Arrival Story:
On June 26, 2006, a man in Dublin came across a group of teenage boys trying to drown a dog, holding her head under water and throwing rocks at her. He got the dog away from the boys and took her to a rescue center -- Dogs in Distress, www.dogsindistress.org. The poor abused dog had a chain around her neck with her name on it-- Rubie. About ten minutes after arriving at the DiD center, poor Rubie gave birth to six healthy puppies. Two months later, four of the pups and a much healthier, happier Rubie were rehomed in England through DBARC (www.dbarc.org.uk), and two of the siblings were sent to Sweden. That's us! Mom and dad picked out Irish names to honor our heritage. My name means "dark-haired" -- cool, huh?

Bio:
When I was a tiny puppy, I was best buddies with the rescuer's five-year old son. He's the one who named me Princess, so mom incorporated it into my name. To this day I LOOOOOVE kids in general, boys in particular, and I absolutely melt for five-year-old boys!
