Arrival Story:
Aphrodite was picked up from the local Animal Control on her last day. She also came with her 5 precious babies. This poor momma was able to keep herself and her babies alive despite how sick she was. She was incredibly emaciated (only 27lbs) horrible kennel cough, UTI infection and heartworm positive. Despite her condition she is such an outgoing little girl. Not one moment has gone by that she isn't smiling and wagging her tail. She is doing do much better and will be starting her heartworm treatment soon.

My Story


A little late =)

I have been so busy getting better that I didn't have time to write in my little diary here...so here is my story in a nut shell. I was living at the Kansas City Animal Shelter in a small cage with my 5 puppies. As much as I love my babies I was soo happy when my new foster mom came with a leash. I jumped out of the kennel and marched off. My foster mom was amazed at how happy I was despite my health conditions, I was just so happy to be in the company of humans and out of that shelter. I was pretty sick when I first got to my foster home. I had an awful UTI, kennel cough, roundworms and heartworm and was very emaciated. Once I got over my kennel cough, worms and UTI and gained some weight I started my heatworm treatment.
I am now on my treatment and having a very hard time staying calm. I am only one year old and I want to play but my foster mom keeps telling me I need to stay calm. I am just a bundle of love and ready to find my forever home!
