Arrival Story:
Angel's family moved and left her in the care of neighbors who abandoned her. When she was rescued, Angel was living in the front yard of her now vacant former family home. She was emaciated, injured and tick-infested. Now she is flea and tick free, up to date on her shots, eating and drinking like a mad woman and looking for a loving permanent home! Fortunately, her injuries were superficial and they are healing quickly now that she's being cared for. Angel is a 6-7 year old Shepherd mix--our vet thinks with Golden Retriever because of her beautiful blonde hair and her mellow personality. She weighs about 49 pounds right now, but she is emaciated and will weigh more once she's properly nourished for a while. Angel is a very sweet dog. She's great with children and good with other dogs, but she's not to be trusted with kitties. Woof. She is a dog, after all. We all have our weaknesses. Please spread the word about this dear girl. She deserves a wonderful home after all she's been through, and she'll make a wonderful companion.

Bio:
Angel is her original name and it suits her to a tee!). We found out about her when her former owner was called by a neighbor.
