I was in search of a Beagle or a Jack Russell and was about to leave the animal shelter when my friend directed my attention to a lonely and quiet dog on an obscure, bottom-corner section of the animal shelter. I took her out of her crate to see her and realized how sickly, frail, and scared she was. Since I am always pulling for the underdog I could not resist this frightened and helpless soul.
