Happy Birthday to Me!

Woohoo! It's my birthday. :) I had a pupcake (even let Willie have one) and got a pretty, fluffy, pink necklace. See the pics...aren't I gorgeous?
Lots of love & hugs too. Humom keeps singing to me-could do with less of that though.
Best of all, I've gotten lots of nice birthday pmails, forum notes & gifts from my dogster pals! Even one from a catster pal. Thanks all!

Tomorrow is my birthday...

I'll be 6 tomorrow!
We usually take a trip to the petstore on birthdays, but my furmily says my leg is still too tender for me to visit such an exciting place. They mention something about me lying flat on my tummy with my legs all spread out so I can get to all the smells of the dogs that have been there before me. hmph!
Well they better get me presents anyway. I am the princess of the pack after all!

Going for walks!

I am happy to say I am out walking twice a day now. Just short walks 15-20 minutes, but at least I am out of the house and moving! It feels great but I'm really tired afterward. Hey I was just lying around for 7 weeks ya know. Sometimes I feel a little stiff when we return, but my doc says that should go away. Can't wait for the day that I am allowed to run again!
I was very jealous today....Willie got to go to the dogpark without me. :( He had so many great smells on him when he returned. There must have been 100 dogs there!
They brought home a new stuffie for me & some treats, so I guess I will forgive them sooner than later.

Feelin' Fine

I am feeling much better, but I'm still not allowed to move around the house on my own. I have to spend my days in my cave (my people call it a crate). I actually feel pretty comfortable in there. Plus I got some new toys for Christmas that keep me entertained.
I do not like it when company comes because I really want to run up and greet them and sit on the couch with them. Neither is allowed right now. :(

Bored!

I'm not allowed to do anything! I can't get on the couch or even walk around alone! They keep me on leash all the time or in the crate. All I really want to do is nose through all the presents (open a few), maybe pull an ornament or two off the tree (heh...I did get a few off and chewed before they took me to the doctor), and then get some snacks from the table or counters (mmm, i love table treats). But no...I have to lie down and be good. This surgery stuff is no fun. :(
Oh Santapaws, take pity on me and bring me some treats please! I've been a really good girl lately. :)

I'm home from surgery...

A little groggy and a lot sore, but the meds are causing one and helping with the other. I was so relieved to see my family...even though I was out of it I wagged my tail and slowly walked to them.

At the doctor's office another dog, who had had surgery too, was not doing well-having breathing problems. We said a little prayer for her & her family. It would be great if you would too. Thank you!

I'm starving!

They cut me off of my food at 8:00! Okay, so it's only 8:30 but hey this girl likes to eat.
I guess it's for my trip to the doctor's office tomorrow morning...
Ugh!

This Friday...

I'm having knee surgery this Friday. My people are a little stressed. Mom keeps hugging me and saying everything will be fine. I vaguely remember Regis going away over night when I was a puppy...I guess he had the same surgery with the same doctor back then. Of course his was the cat version, I weigh a bit more than he does. He does seem just fine now though...a little grumpy but hey he is a cat!
They keep mentioning the 5 letter word...crate! I haven't had to be crated in years. :(
Guess it's going to be a long winter.
