 Quick Bio:
 Gotcha Date: April 15th 2000
 Birthday: October 31st 1998
 Likes: World domination

Pet-Peeves: Dogs who don't agree that she's the one in charge

Favorite Toy: Molecuball

Favorite Food: Food!!

Favorite Walk: Glacial Drumlin trail at Lake Mills where we swim

Best Tricks: Destroying even the strongest crate in seconds, which a couple days after her 10th birthday she reminded me just how good she is at that particular 'trick'!!

Arrival Story: For starters, we're not guardians, we're owners. "Guardians" is a slippery slope. As a young dog she was returned to her breeder because the people's circumstances had changed. I had seen her breeder at dog shows and had some good references from some handler friends. I was looking for the first dog to have on my own (my family had dogs, hard to manage ones, so getting a Mal wasn't a huge leap) so I met her and a week later, I took her home.

Bio: Kita's a pet first like all of my dogs, but she's the first of the bunch. She had a bad case of separation anxiety until some time after Bella came around (the 3rd dog) where she'd destroy cratess and pens with amazing totality. She's a working dog, competing in weight pulls, runs on my 5 dog team, and goes backpacking and camping with us. She's also puppy trainer. her latest endeavor is dog shows where she competes in the Veterans class which is reserved for dogs over 8 years old. In the past she's been in Fun Matches and done VERY well but these are real shows like the National. In 2002 she placed 3rd in the working dog showcase at nationals, a competition for dogs with at least 2 working titles. She was just 2 points behind the winner and 1 point behind second place--her sister/littermate.

Forums Motto: Dominating the world, one dog at a time.

So on the way to the AMCA National this November, Kita turned 10. We celebrated as we normally do when it's her birthday and we're on the road, we found a scenic place to take pictures. We picked Big Horn National Forest this year. The rest of the trip out to Olympia, WA went off without a hitch.
Out there Kita placed 2nd two of the days and 3rd the one day as she competed in the 10-12 year veteran classes. That's not bad. But what she will be remembered for is how she trashed her crate, slipped her collar, hid the ID tags (still haven't found them), got out of the van, and was found entering the hotel. She was obviously tired of being treated like a 'common dog'. A couple days later she bolted on my mom, my 10 year old was heading straight for the grooming tent at Mach II because the grooming tent is where she gets to be made over and gets much attention. She complained the whole way home because once again, she had to be a 'common animal' and reside in her crate surrounded by these punks (Ike, Vinnie, Lucy, Buster, and a friend's puppy) for the 3 day ride home.
She has retaken her rightful space on the oversized pawprint dog bed in front of the tv where she can see what all dogs are doing at all times.
