Likes: Affection , she thinks she is a lab and loves and jumps on people to lick their faces. Pet-Peeves: Don't touch her feet! Favorite Toy: A natural chew bone Favorite Food: I like Frosty Paws, peaches, cantaloupe & chicken especially cooked by dad for me. Favorite Walk: Tyler Park, the Delaware Canal, Washington Crossing Park, PA Best Tricks: Smiles, sits on command, very obedient-acts immediately to obey a command. Liz is fearless & recently fell into the water at Tyler State Park. This did not bother her at all & it was funny to see her hanging on a rock with her two front paws. Arrival Story: After we lost our first greyhound , beautiful Jack,to osteosarcoma at 7 years of age (had him for 4 years), we went to NGAP and fell in love with two "greys". Liz was one of them . Liz was retired as a racer at 4 years in Hollywood, FL. My husband chose another grey, but went along with my two. He only wanted one, however, for our anniversary, we adopted two of the best pets we ever had. Lizzie & Dickens, now her sister. Our 7 grandchildren have a lot of fun with them and with our honorary grey, a rescued part pit bull-part yellow lab mix, Lucy (red hair as in "I Love Lucy). Bio: We have volunteered for the past 6 years, to find homes for the many greys who need them. Lizzie, Dickens, and Jack, our first greyhound, have helped other greyhounds to find loving, forever homes for other greys. They are user-friendly and ready for love as soon as you get them home. They are very funny & playful & seem to know that they are very lucky to have a home & not live in a crate as before. They perch majestically on the bed as if it was a throne & we treat them as the elegant, regal dogs they are. We would have 10 if we could!
