Arrival Story:
Franco was born on June 18, 2005 and was known to his previous owners as Blanco. Blanco, which means white in Spanish is also slang for cocaine. Blanco was 4 ½ years old when he was dropped off by his owners at the South Central Humane Society with a large mass/growth on his stomach. He was such a great dog and such a gentle soul that the officers at the South Central Humane Society contacted the Lange Foundation, a no kill shelter in West Los Angeles. The Lange Foundation provided medical care and shelter for Blanco and changed his name to Franco. Franco lived at the shelter for 3 months and every day for weeks and weeks, my friend Brian went to visit him and take him for daily walks. Finally, on March 24th Franco came home with Brian and me.

Bio:
The trainers at the Lange Foundation didn’t have much background information on Franco before he came to us but it was suspected that he was a yard dog who wasn't socialized with other dogs and was most likely neglected. While at the Lange Foundation Franco was around people for the first time and received a lot of much needed love and attention. He walked with a strut and held his head high, performing tricks for the staff and visitors.

Forums Motto:
Casa de Franco

Franco is the reincarnation of an old, wise Chinese man. We describe him as old because he has low energy and likes to spend his days laying on the couch. When you come home from work he does not meet you at the door or get up to greet you. He lifts his weary head, eyes still closed, and wags his tail. All you hear is his tail thumping against the leather couch. When we take him hiking at Runyon Canyon he will walk up half way and expect you to carry him down the rest of the way. He is wise because he when he walks off the leash he only crosses at the cross walks despite the fact that his owner is jaywalking. We think he was an Asian man because when he pulls is ears back his eyes turn into little slits. (this is not derogatory because his owner is Chinese) Franco is a very mellow dog who loves everyone. If he had a motto it would be “Can’t we all just get along? And who wouldn’t want to get along with our little Confucius?

Saturday Night Fun

On Saturday my mom and dad went to a Poison concert. On Friday night and Saturday morning I had to listen to my mom serenade me with Every Rose Has its Thorn over and over again. I think that was the only song she knew.

Anyways, my parents dropped me off at my friend Flex's house. We went to the park and played all day. Flex's mommy Nicole is my girlfriend, I love her!

Good news for all the ladies. My dad and my mom are not together....they are best buds. So that means that the handsome guy in the picture with me is available.

The lady from my doggie day care called my mom and said that a producer was looking for a handsome pup like myself for the Larry King Show.

Unfortunately I was sick and make it that day. Stardom was so close yet so far away.....
