Crossing his legs (Proper Mo), Giving the poor pitiful me look that will melt your heart, his grunts/sighs that seem to be right on cue, individually raising his eyebrows, and drinking water from the dispenser on the refrigerator door!

Bio:
Maximus has had a total hip replacement, but is getting along very well now thanks to Dr. Ned Williams in Wilmington, NC. When we bought a house in the Raleigh area we had to find a "hip dyslastic" friendly house. We found it, and now he feels so good that he & Saucer will come up the stairs to the cats' territory unless the baby gate was up at the bottom of the stairs. He enjoys spending his days with his Golden Retriever brother, Saucer, as well as with his 3 Feline Brothers (Copper, Cobalt, & Hamish.) He loves children, swimming, being loved upon, ice, snow, and playing with other dogs. He has been a wonderful house guest to dog fosters (Saints, Goldens, Lab mixes, etc.) in the past. He has his own futon, which he thoroughly enjoys. He starts out his journey to sleep by putting his head on the bed, whining, and then one of us lifts him into the bed. He knows "1, 2, 3, Go", pretty well! He lounges,/snores in our bed for an hour or so, until he finds it too confining with us, Saucer, and Copper in the bed. Maximus then moves off the bed onto his futon where he rests soundly. Maximus can also out snore anyone! He loves the snow and thinks that it is a wonderful natural ice cream buffett. Maximus won 1st Place in Johnston County Animal Protection League (JCAPL) Barktoberfest Festival 2003 in Smithfield, NC. He received a wonderul gift basket & engraved plaque with his picture! And made it into the local newspaper (not for biggest dog, but for his Halloween costume). He wore a button down Hawaiian print shirt from Big Dogs and more leis around his neck...
