Ice Cream Cake and Gran'rents! WooHOO!

I had an early birthday celebration today! yay! We went to my Gran'rents house and had ice cream cake!!! Nino and Poppy sang Happy Birthday Dear Mato! WooHOO!

The cake was delicious, but I really loved my early pressies! Squeaky toys rule!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...

My Mom woke yesterday and decided to take me to see the Veteran's Day parade with my Nino. My Pops served two tours in Vietnam and 23 years in the service. But, he didn't want to go to the parade. HMPH! ;0 )

When were leaving our house, Mom looked down and noticed my feet were wet and after looking to see what happened, she realized there was antifreeze everywhere in the parking lot. I guess some neighbor thought it wasn't important to clean off! Mom had to take me inside and bath me. She was very careful not to get my head - more importantly my ears wet.

And now we're off to see my Grand'rents. I'm in a huff though cuz I'm wet!

After settling down, Mommy and Nino load me and my stroller in the car. We get to the Marietta Square, park and wait in the Historical town square for the parade to start. Nino's laughing and laughing at how much attention I get. BOL You should've seen all the Veteran's bending down cooing over me saying "Ah, he's so cute." Nice, huh? BOL

So, this parade starts and I FREAK! Mom never dreamed I'd be so scared. I've been to firework displays and concerts - not bothered. I couldn't calm down. I was trying to jump out of Mommy's arms! She got so scared for me. We were stuck on the square as the parade circled around. She had to Bear Hug me and put me sort of in her shirt to keep me safe. I was desperately trying to runaway. By the time the parade was over and Nino found us, we were exhausted! Mom was soaken wet as if she just wrestled a gator and I was so stressed. Finally, we were able to be free of the loudness and meander back to the car. Mommy carried me the whole way.

We stayed the night at my Grand'rents to keep me calm and so they could watch me today while Mommy works.

What a traumatic event. NO MORE PARADES for me. We just never ever thought this would happen. Mommy feels awful...Hey Mom... A little ice cream and this can be made right! ;)

We have a lot to be thankful for

We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We want to give thanks to our troops for their bravery and sacrifice. We pray for them and all of their families this Veteran's day and holiday season.

My Poppy is a war veteran. He earned many medals while serving our country for over 20 years. He even has two purple hearts. I say he has a giant heart! Pops loves me so much. ;0)

We are thankful for all of our wonderful friends here on Dogster. You mean so much to us.

And guess what else happens this month??? Yep, I will celebrate my fourth birthday! WOOHOO!!!!

We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We are blessed in so many ways.
