It's been raining here all day, but that doesn't stop me from chasing them critters.
A very brave soul has decided to come by my yard. I think this rabbit is hiding out in the flower bed, because that's where my nose is leading to. However, as soon as I came in the house, my human locked up the doggie door so I can't get out. Now I;m stuck in here all day without that rabbit is running lose! I think this qualifies as beagle abuse!
My mama said something about me being all wet, then she dried me off with a towel. I don't mind being all wet, but apparantly she does. How am I supposed to catch the rabbits if I'm locked in the house all day?! What the heck is she thinkin'??

Like my sister, I added some toons. I'm not as dancy, schmancy dance-clubby as she is. I'm a more reserved feller. Go have a listen!

I am one of those dogs that loathe thunderstorms and lightening. I am convinced that the world is coming to an end every time I hear a clap of thunder. Nothing scares me more than that. The *boom!* is torture, and sends me in a tizzy. I drool, pant, tremble, and most especially...I hide.
Since I have been in my new home, however, my fear has somewhat dissipated. I don't really run to find a hiding spot anymore, though I still tremble. I find it very helpful when my mama tries to distract me from the thunder with fun stuff. Food always helps, but she also comforts and gives me a puppy massage. I once heard you're not really supposed to baby dogs like that, but you know what? For me....it works.
In the beginning my mama used to give me these yummy pills to ease the anxiety, but she doesn't anymore. Those pills take 90 minutes before they even work. I think she decided that since she is not a cat and cannot predict the severity of storms ahead of time, she has decided to rely on canine/human interaction as opposed to pills...and it's working! My mama may be crazy, but goshdarnit, she's pretty smart.
I still don't like thunderstorms though. Keep those boom booms far away from me!

Don't get me wrong, I love her to pieces, but sometimes I simply don't understand her.
She's gone crazy. She's pimped her profile to appear she's some kind of diva. As if! My profile will be very simple. Who needs all that glitz and glam? Pfft.
Anyway, I think I am getting a bath today. My mama got mad at me yesterday because I found my way under the deck. I simply got on a scent in the yard and my nose led me underneath the deck. I didn't find anything, but I sure as heck smelled it. Meanwhile, my mama was going crazy because I think she thought I was trapped, but I wasn't. She's still giving me a bath though, as my tummy is pretty dirty.
A beagle's job never ends!

I take offense the "cranky mutt" comment.
You see, fellow pups, Beatrice knowlingly took my fave place to sleep. There is a huge walk in closet in the bedroom. The floor is covered with a down comforter and that is where I normally sleep. For some reason, Beatrice decides to hork my spot. I then decided to sleep in front of her on the floor and terrorize her. She should know better.
She may be the alpha dog by definition, but it is *I* that says what goes. At least until the cat's in the room.

I am a new addition to my human family, and I love them so much! I would not have found them if it wasn't for my foster family and the organization they are with. They have treated me so well and have taken every avenue to assure I have found that perfect, loving forever home. And wow...do I love it! I get unlimited amounts of tummy rubs!
