Birthday: July 5th 2002 Likes: busy-bones, bike rides, butt-rubs... Pet-Peeves: not being allowed to lick mommy until the cows come home.... Favorite Toy: currently...my dual-texture rubber corn on the cob! Favorite Food: beef gravy on anything...especially london broil! anything from the fancypant cafe! Favorite Walk: where ever I can strutt my stuff or run off leash! Best Tricks: all my tricks are the best! especially my uppies and face surfing Arrival Story: I went to my local animal shelter in search of a new companion. There I found my little pixie- so scared and anxious that she didn't even come to the front of the kennel when I walked past. But her silly eyes caught my attention. After just a few minutes of visiting it was clear- we were meant for each other. Unfortunatly the people at the shelter didn't think she was ready yet. I came back for 2 more visiting sessions with pixie. It was clear that she was warming up to- when she gave me a kiss for the first time they said she had never done that before. After what seemed like forever I was allowed take pixie home. Although she was still a little scared she hopped right into my truck. We took a nice long walk together and the rest is history.... Bio: Pixie is a unique dog with a unique story. She was adopted when she was about 5 years old- I like to joke that she is in witness paw-tection because she has a past that no one knows about.
Pixie is part of a large pet family- but she the only warm blooded one! She lives with 3 breaded dragons, 2 snakes, and a green iguana as housemates. She doesn't interact with them much, but she does enjoy watching them run (or slither) around their tanks and cages.
In her spare time Pixie joins me a work. I work for a Vet and Pixie hangs out with the other hospital dogs and keep the patients comfortable. Whether they are waking up from anesthsia or spending the day for radiographs Pixie keeps the other K9 patients at ease while they are in the strange hospital environment.

today is a lazy day- i heard mommy say it. It's 10 am and the day is just starting....i for see laying down in bed, on the couch, on my bed, on carpet, on the kitchen floor, or anywhere- thats my plan for today.
the day started off slowly- the humans didnt get up until noon!
but first thing me, mom, and dad all went for a nice walk.
we even went down the forbidden path (i dont know why its forbidden, probably something due to the no trespassing sign). Then mom let me run around in the field off leash. I played tag with dad, he's so slow, i always win.
On the way home i let every pup in the neighborhood know it was my barkday- they all woofed back at me and it was quite the chorus of canines!
Mom gave me little sliced turkey treats all day, everytime she opened that fridge I was there, waiting.
I even got pieces of hot dog while me and mom practiced our new trick.....hopefully we will be ready soon and i can put a video of it on the site....
We went for a short car ride (the car has been under the weatyher lately) over to mom's parents house. I played with my feline sister for a bit and jumped around in the back yard.
I didn't get any new toys, but mom says next trip to the pet store i can pick out whatever I want.
i'm still a little groggy but mom says everything went well while i was under anesthesia. While she was cleaning my teeth she found some that didnt look so good. I got five extractions in all. While i was under they brushed out my tail and but really nice so i'm all fluffy now! now that i have nice clean teeth i can give everyone kisses right on the face!
