Arrival Story:
My husband had always wanted a dalmatian. We had my childhood dog (an older collie/akita mix) and had just adopted our lab puppy, Lemieux, in August and I was not interested in another puppy. However, I was working at the local pet store and we had just got in a shipment of puppies which included a very frightened dalmatian. When husband came to pick me up, I was in the back bathing a Lhasa Apso and one of my co-workers slyly slipped him into a play room with the poor dear. When I found them in the puppy room and they both looked at me, I knew she was going to be the newest member of the family.

Bio:
Being devout hockey fans, we had to come up with the perfect name. My husband's favorite player at the time was Brett Hull. Since she was the third dog in our house hold and a hat trick equals three goals in one game her registered name ended up being "Miss Hullie's Hat Trick". Lemieux, our lab, pretty much shadowed and learned from Roger, our collie mix, and Hullie, wanted nothing to do with either of them. My husband did not have the time to devote to his dalmatian and I coudln't afford to have her wreaking havoc on my home. In teaching her to behave like a civilized child, she became my baby, and eventually my angel. At the age of 8, we were told Hullie was heading into kidney failure. My heart broke. We did everything humanely possible to keep her with us on this earth and when the time came let her go. My pretty spotted piggy princess will always be at home in my heart!
