Arrival Story: 1st dog of the Pack Bandit was found running down the our street. We searched for his home, and put up signs for months and even tried rehoming him. We got lots of calls of people missing small dogs. But no one had the right description. Thank goodness we fell in love with him and can't imagine our lives without the little rascal. Second was Bridgette who was bought (rescued) from a BYB when my husband fell in love with her and we had to save her from those people before something bad happened to her. Third was Lizzie who was bought from a breeder online (I didn't know better at the time) and shipped to us when Bandit needed a friend to play with. As soon as bridgette got comfortable here she decided she was much happier being a lap dog than playing. Lizzie is a true gem of a dog, not one aggressive bone in her body! Playful but at the same time very mellow and easy going. She's the big sister of the pack she is always watching out for her siblings! Then we added Harley when we moved into our first home as a house warming gift. I have always wanted a pug and I adore him so much. He is the greatest dog ever. Loving, loyal, friendly towards everyone, dogs cats kids. I have never had a dog that loves life more than this sweet little guy. Then we decided to keep Teddy out of Bridgette's "oops litter" because she got very upset when we started rehoming her puppies. Then finally we added sweet little Roxy out of the same mommy and daddy as Harley. Because I HAD to have another pug after losing my Delilah. She is so sweet and is the toughest little 3 lbs dog ever! We never planned on having 6 dogs, but like my motto says dogs are like potato chips. If my husband would allow it I would have even more!
Bio: My pack works out great! The four "puppies" (Lizzie, Harley, Roxy and Teddy) form one strong pack. And then Bridgette and Bandit make another. Bridgette and Bandit are more like couch potatoes and are just irritated with the crazy puppies. But they all each have someone. Bandit and Bridgette just love to sit in our laps give lots of love and cuddles. Then Lizzie, Teddy, Roxy and Harley LOVE to wrestle. And they all ADORE the cat (with the exception of Bandit is not to thrilled with him.) Teddy and Bridgette love to kiss him. Anytime they see him they kiss his face repeatedly. Harley loves to play cat and mouse.... or dog and cat BOL. Never in aggression but they LOVE to chase each other. And Lizzie is the biggest cuddler with him. And now Roxy just stares at him I don't think she is sure what he is. BOL

The Last Forum I Posted In: Going through customs with dog food?
Man today sucks! It's our first big storm of the season. We woke up this morning and it is SO wet! I even heard momma saying to dad this morning she heard on the news we have 45 mile per hour winds today. I'm not sure if that is fast. But when we went out to pee pee Bridgette was blowing all over the yard. And now we have to spend the whole day in the laundry room because mom says she doesn't want our wet muddy paws on the carpet. Darn it! I wish we could potty inside, we hate going out in that. We got two more days of this bad weather and then it should be sunny again.
My dog lives in this house. You are welcome to come and visit me anytime but we have a few things that you must understand before you visit. I vacuum and clean daily but my dog lives in this house too. You may be leaned on and find my dog in your lap a few times but he does this because he loves people and wants to say hello. So if you feel that you are too good for his love then you are not welcome here because this is my dog's home too.
My dog lives here and is well mannered and very clean but if you are one of those people who think all animals are dirty and smell, then go away. You are not the type of person that I care to associate with. If you don't like the sound of barking, then my home is not going to be a comfortable place for you to visit.
Do not expect me to lock my dog in another room during your visit. I have trained my dog well so he will not do anything to you except maybe want a pat on the head. I will not subject my dog to feel as if he is being punished by locking him away for no reason. That would be cruel.
When you walk into my home, be careful not to trip on a stuffed toy or ball. These are my dog's treasures and I will not take them away from him just to show you that I keep a clean house. My dog knows where all his toys are. They may not look like much to you, but to him, they are worth more than gold.
You see, this is OUR home. Yes, my dog who lives here, have been together since he was a small puppy scampering around the house. I raised him into well mannered, beautifully behaved dog. I am proud of him. I consider him my personal gift from God. He has done nothing but give me his endless love and devotion for many years. I love him dearly and want to make his years happy ones. As happy as he made mine.
When you go home to your family, my dog stays here with me. A fine and loving companion. He is MY family and I wouldn't change that for the world. When it was cold and there was no heat, we kept each other warm. When I was sick, he stayed right by my side, as I did his when he was not having a good day. A better friend I could not ask for.
When no one else cared, my dog did. He has given me nothing but pure joy and I love him endlessly. So please understand that I am not being rude. I'm just looking out for my best friend.
