Arrival Story:
Mason just sort of happened...a week prior to Mason coming into our life my boyfriend and I had a great loss. Our first puppy, Swoop, was tragically hit by a car and passed away. He was the love of our life and we would have given anything to have him back. Our house had become so quite it was erie. We had grown so accustomed to hearing the little jingle of a puppy collar that dead silence was making us go out of our minds. Little Swoopie must have seen this up in heaven because he sent us Mason. A friend of ours' cat ended up getting hit by a car a week after Swoop's accident. So she ended up going to our local humane society and adopting Mason. Well, Mr. Mason, being the young, spunky pup that he is was not a good fit for our friend and so she was going to take him back to the humane society. When she called up to inform them that she would be bringing him back they informed her that he would have to be put down because he had exceeded his stay at the shelter (animals are only allowed to stay there for 3 mos.). Upon hearing this our friend then approached us with Mason and his situation. Even though we were recovering from a situation of our own we took him in because we knew Swoop would have wanted us to do the right thing and today we have no regrets. Now we have had Mason for 4 months and he is just another member of the family. We were very luck to have adopted Mason because we found out that the same shelter where he came from had a horrible outbreak of the parvo virus and 40 some of their dogs had to be put down....if he would have been re-surrendered either way he would have died. We thank god every day for Mason and we consider him to be a really special puppy.

Bio:
Mason was found with his brother and sister in a cardboard box on the side of a road. All three pups had been abused and abandoned by their original owner. A good samaritan turned them in to our local animal shelter where they were all adopted out. Mason was then resurrendered to the animal shelter a second time because his new owners were unable to take care of him. Then our friend adopted him and then surrendered him to us where he currently resides. Who's not to say that third time's a charm!

Mommy just got confirmation that I will be getting a sister!!!! Woof Woof!!!! I am so excited! She must be something special because her and daddy will be driving all the way to North Carolina to adopt her! Her name is Roxy and she is currently 3 weeks old and she is 100% pure beagle. Woof Woof she's sooooo tiny! Mommmy showed me a picture of her on the computer...she has blue eyes, too!!! That means I get to be a big brudder! Yay for a puppy sister!!!!

Mommy keeps saying that she's looking to find me a sister. What's that? Do they taste good? She wants it to be a beagle just like my older brother Swoop who's now in puppy heaven. Mommy's been working hard doin research on this sister thing. I think it means a lot to her. She says she wants to adopt or rescue it instead of buying one from a breeder...again just like she did with Swoop! I hope I get this sister thing....it sounds kind of cool....and I won't be as lonely when they leave for work...I would have something to play with...I think.....

Well thats all for now....more updates on this sister thing to come I hope!
