Arrival Story:
I went to Town Lake Animal Shelter here in Austin week after week, looking for the right special dog, until I finally found Bailey (formerly "Maddie"). She was 5 months old and had recently come into the shelter with cuts around her neck area. She had just gotten these stitched up when I met her, and had also just gotten "fixed", so she was a little groggy and not feeling so hot at that point. She was labeled a Pointer/Lab mix, but it was only a short time before her expanding head size made it obvious she was actually a Pointer/Pit Bull mix! =)
