Arrival Story:
Star's litter was born Memorial Day of 2004. Her nickname from birth was Two Sox because of her front legs and that name almost stuck as her permanent name. My grandmother who I was very close to and the person I looked up to most in the world died September 2003. She was a huge animal lover and besides being the Postmaster of her town, she started her own animal shelter and had another named after her. My grandmother's middle name was Morningstar which is a family name. That is where Star came from. So her "birth" name and her registered name are both of similar heritage.
Bio:
Star is an extremely sweet "puppy", smart, loving and always happy. She is competes in agility and herding. This is one dog that has a very much puppy personality, always happy, always looking to make fun. She also "smiles" which she gets from her mother. Sometimes the smile looks downright demented or wolf-like. She passed her Canine Good Citizen's test and has her OA, AXJ and AAD titles in agility and HT title in Herding. You can't go outside for her just laying by the agility equipment (we have to make her go potty) waiting and wanting to work. She's a lovely working dog and awesome companion. Very good with the kids because of her goofy personality. Star's daughter is Singe, also listed on Dogster. Some exciting news - Star had 7 beautiful puppies on Friday, April 18th. They are all healthy, happy, nursing, crawling, squeeking & squealing. Star is a great mom - takes very good care of them but at a moment's notice she's ready to head out to the agility field, play ball, etc. It's a very exciting time in our household. We're very proud of Star and excited at the prospect of another permanent BC in the household although we'd like to keep them all!
