Gwen:
Gwen is a sweet girl that has really suffered because of her breed. She loves attention from people, especially belly rubs which can lull her to sleep. Gwen is eager to please you and if you ask her to perform a command and she doesn't get it right she will go through all the commands she knows until she finds the right one. She is already familiar with sit, shake, and down. Gwen is a moderately active girl that could really benefit from a good walk once or twice a day. She loves doggie ice cream! She also loves stuffed toys, but does tend to tear them up fairly quickly unless they are made for strong chewers. Gwen is fine around other dogs, but being a bully breed she does play a bit rough which can be mistook for her being aggressive. Gwen is okay with cats, but occasionally will give chase if they run past her so if in a home with cats she will need supervision at first till she learns the cats are not to be chased. She is fine with them otherwise. Gwen has been around kids when out in public and seems to love them. She even changes her behavior, such as when she met this little boy who was maybe two. Gwen was so gentle with him it was quite amazing. She could have easily knocked him down or scared him but she gently sniffed him and licked his hand and then she let him pet her. Gwen loves to ride in the car so if you are looking for a traveling buddy, Gwen is your girl. She is also crate-trained and house-trained. Gwen has been with us for over 3 years and is desperate to find a loving home that will love her for who she is. During her time with us Gwen has won the hearts of everyone she has met, even those that are afraid of dogs!
