Arrival Story:
Gwen came to us from a high kill shelter where they do not adopt out pit bulls. She was hairless from mange and was skinny and depressed. Despite the fears from other rescue members I brought her home. We nursed her back to health and she has blossomed into a sweetheart of a dog.

Gwen:
Gwen is a sweet girl that has really suffered because of her breed. She loves attention from people, especially belly rubs which can lull her to sleep. Gwen is eager to please you and if you ask her to perform a command and she doesn't get it right she will go through all the commands she knows until she finds the right one. She is already familiar with sit, shake, and down. Gwen is an active girl that could really benefit from a good walk once or twice a day. She doesn't care for toys much, but she loves doggie ice cream! Gwen is fine around other dogs, but she can get a little aggresive if there is food around. Gwen has not been around kids, so we are hesitant to place her in a home with children under 10. Gwen has been with us for over a year and is desperate to find a loving home that will love her for who she is. During her time with us Gwen has won the hearts of everyone she has met, even those that are afraid of dogs!
