Personalized Greyhounds rescues us retired racers and places us with our "forever families". When Mom met Louise's Greyts, she knew she could squeeze one in. They came to get me on July 31, 2007, and soon I met the rest of my new family - 4 Italian Greyhounds!! They're so tiny!! I feel like Gulliver in the land of the Lilliputians! I'm afraid I'm going to step on them! Max (he was the big one before I got here) - always wants to play, and chases my tail around like it's his new toy - ouch! Today is my fourth birthday, and I've been with my new family almost a whole year! I never knew how great it was to be loved! I get scratched and petted all the time, and even though I'm not little like the other dogs in my family, I manage to get in lots of lap time. Well, only my head fits on mom and dad's lap, but that's okay. I'm the luckiest, happiest greyhound around!
Well I had my first bath in my new home last night. Mom said I wasn't smelling too good, but I smell just fine to me. Anyway, she filled up the tub and pushed me in. I wasn't too happy about it at first but then she started scratching me all over and boy does that feel good!! When I got out of the tub mom rubbed me down real good with a towel and that felt real nice, too. By then I was all excited and ran back and forth inside the house until I dried off. Maybe bathtime isn't so bad after all. . .
