Santa thought I was a good boy this year!

I've been wanting a sibling for a while now, and Mommy knew that too. Mommy has been looking at rescues, along with other dogs up for adoption. Every time she contacted them, they never called her back >:( So my Mommy decided to take a break from looking and getting our hopes up, then one day it happened! One of Mommy's friends from Yorkietalk.com saw a post for a boy in Michigan that needed a new home. With the help of all of Mommy's yorkietalk friends, within an hour of contacting the Foster Mom he was set for a plane ride to Philly! There was still alot of planning to do, he needed a crate, a health certificate, plus getting to the airport.

The day finally came for him to leave Michigan, he was picked up from his foster home and taken to the airport. Everything seemed to be going well until the delays :( His flight was delayed over 3 hours!!! Poor guy, he must of been so scared. When Mommy and I headed off the airport, during that time his flight was delayed even more! We waited, and waited in the cargo parking lot until his flight arrived. When his flight arrived Mommy went in and told the nice lady at the office, so she personally went to get him. When she got back, he was the first doggie to leave. Yay! my new brother! His previous owner named him Harley and Mommy kept it that way. It's been so much fun having a sibling! We play together, go on walks, to the park, and sleep together at night.

3rd place at the PetSmart Howl-O-Ween contest!

We just got home from the PetSmart Howl-O-Ween contest. My mommy finished making me my Lion costume yesterdary. At first I thought the head piece was a big furry toy for me to play with, I gave Mommy a hard time trying to get it over my head. Luckily I was the only Lion in the contest, otherwise that would of been really awkward not to mention a major fashion faux pas. I got my picture taken, did the parade (the pic is me waiting for the parade to start), then finally the costume contest. After they called first and second place, I didn't think I was going to win....then ding! ding! ding! I won third place! The prize was a gift card, and a free pass for day camp. Not to mention the bags of treats they were giving away all ready. I'm definitly going to make sure Mommy takes me again next year!

I'll pencil you in....

My Mommy is really keeping me busy with all the meetups and events. This past weekend we went to the Central Jersey mixed mutt meetup at Rocky Top Dog Park, and this was after we went to our regular park. At least I got to take a nap in the car while on our way there. It was kind of confusing at first since someone has to let you in with a security pass, but I got to hang out with the small dogs first before going into the big enclosure where all my meetup friends were. In the big enclosure there was a pond, the big dogs really liked jumping and splashing around. When they got out they shook off some water and then rolled in the dirt - ICK! Especially since I don't like getting wet. I made a new yorkie-poo friend from the meetup and we started to wrastle! My new friend was getting pummled by the big dogs so I followed him back to the small dog side. Then I made another friend and we all had a friend sandwich as I like to call it (Mommy calls it something else though, sounds like mump sandwich...). After a couple of hours I decided I was tired and ready to go home.
I thought I was going to take a nap but then Zippy and my cousin Lucky came over, turns out Lucky is staying over for a whole week! Last time I saw Lucky was at Thanksgiving and he is a huge! Mommy says Lucky is a lab/border collie mix, but I don't care he is taking over all my favorite pee spots on our walks :(

New Friends!

I love to make new friends! Besides making some new friends at the dog park this morning, I made a bunch of new Yorkie friends! I had no idea where Mommy was taking me, none of the scenery looked familiar. So I decided to take a nap until we got there, especially since I didn't get to take one after going to the park before. We drove and drove, and finally arrived to a new place for us called Katheryn's Krunchies. I didn't understand why we were there until we walked in.... It was a Yorkie Meetup! I met a new pal that was my size, the perfect size for wrestling! In between wrestling Katheryn put out some treats, and boy were they delicious! While Mommy continued to talk with the humans, I continued to wrestle! When it was time to go Katheryn was super nice and gave us a yummy treat goodie bag, I'm all ready half way through all the treats! I thought I could finally take a nap, but Mommy had more in store for me.
Today at Best Friends Pet Care it was Responsible Dog Ownership day, we stopped in and jumped in on the pie eating contest. With all the treats Mommy gave me at Katheryn's Krunchies I really wasn't hungry and ended up giving the rest of my pie to the doggie next to us. Finally we could go home and I could take a nice long nap, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....................

So Tired..........

Yesterday was another jammed packed day of activities just for me! It all started off with the Tails of the Tundra Siberian Husky Hike in Warminster, PA. Ok, so its obvious I'm not any where close to the size of a husky, but its all about helping rescue dogs just like I used to be. I really wanted to run and play with the huskies but some of their parents said they don't like little guys like me :( So after doing the walk, and watching some of the activities they had for the huskies to do it was time for the Dogster photo. I was the only little guy in the photo, my Mommy had to hold me so you could even see I was in the photo. Mommy got some funnel cakes to bring home, they smelled so good I wish she would of given me at least a tiny piece!

On our way home we stopped by the Grand opening of the PetSmart PetHotel for a tour. They wouldn't let doggies go on the tour since there were all ready doggies staying there. I stayed outside with a PetSmart associate and made lots of friends. After the tour Mommy brought me a sample of the ice cream they give as a treat for guests there, it was so yummy I wish she brought me a whole gallon!

After all that I thought I could finally take a nap, but Mommy thought it would be a great day to go to the park. I'm really glad she did since there were lots of dogs there, more than I have ever seen at the park along with a couple of regular friends. I love going to the park, especially when there are friends there that like to run and wrestle.

I finally got to take a nap after my post-park bath, boy was I exhausted....but very happy.

Fun Filled Weekend! I passed the CGC test!

My Mommy planned a weekend of jammed packed activities just for me! First on Saturday we went to NJ to the L'oreal Your Dog is Worth it Too Day, when we arrived there were so many dogs of all shapes and sizes all over the place. We got our goodie bags which were so filled with stuff (which we could actually use) we had to go back to the car and drop it off. Now my Mommy had her hands free and we could really participate in activities, first was dog-opoly and I won a new squeaky toy! Then we got our picture taken with the puperoni scooter with sidecar for a doggie drivers license, and free treats! YUM! . The last thing we did was the hay maze, the record to beat was 15 seconds but our ending time was 17 seconds but we still won a prize. There were so many rescue groups and vendors that it was quite overwhelming at first. I didn't like the fact that my Mommy tried to get into one of the pools for doggies, I really don't like being wet. The weather was beautiful all day, and by early afternoon I was literally dog tired so we went home to rest up for Sunday.

On Sunday we went to SPCA day in Ft. Washington Park. First was the Canine Good Citizen test, I was doing well until I had to lie on my bellie. The floor was cold, but my Mommy was smart and brought a towel to put down so I could do it. I passed, my Mommy is so proud of me! After that was the limbo contest, they had an over the stick and under the stick contest. I did the under contest and I WON! I entered the handsomest dog contest, but didn't win even with my super cute boy scout shirt :(

I don't know what my Mommy has planned for next weekend, but I hope its just as fun!

This past weekend a new Pet Smart opened right down the street from me, they had lots of grand opening events. My Mommy entered their contests to win prizes and we won a free obedience class! I love going to school, so I can't wait!
