My name is Prissy and I want to ask anyone who is even considering a new loving animal in to their family please adopt first!!!! My family found me at the shelter at the age of 12. I was on my last days there, you see I had had such a bad start and did not adjust well to being in the shelter that I was not a very nice girl when ever anyone came to look at me. But my mom did not care and was up for a challenge and gave me a new chance on life. The volunteers had to load me into my mom's car, cause I would not let her touch me yet. My new mom not even thinking about how to get me out when she got home!!! (hehehehe) That was tricky. I spent the first three days in the extra bedroom (by choice) and only came out to see where my new parents were than ran back into the extra bedroom. Little by little I slowly came out of my shell and I have learned to trust human's again and I have turned into a sweet, loving little girl. I have been with my furever family for three years this August. I will be celebrating my 15 woofday May 14th. I am so glad my mom gave my a new lease on life when no one else would.

Prissy came from the new Hanover Humane Society she was in the shelter for over 3 months and her time was getting very close to running out. Prissy was not finding her forever home since she would try to bite everyone who would try to see her. She does'nt trust anybody!!! I took Prissy home from the shelter that day-with not even touching her. The people from the shelter even had to put her in the car for me. To my surprise, I didn't even think about getting her out of the car when I got home. Thank goodness they left her leash on her. I pulled her as close to me as I could put a blanket over her and put her down as gently as I could. With her growling and trying to bite me the whole time. Prissy spent the first three days in her new home scared to death in the extra bedroom. She would walk into the hallway see where we were then turn and run back into the room. With alot of love, patience and time Prissy started coming around. Now she is the sweetest little thing, She sleeps with me and my husband every night. She is the biggest snuggle bunny. It breaks my heart to even think she was not going to make it. She has so much love to give and I am so glad we gave her a chance to come out of her shell!!! When ever our friends stop by she is the best ankle biter (hehe) Who would have known she loves to play dress up!!!
