Arrival Story:
I was a birthday present for my mommy Meg on her 29th birthday. My daddy Joe is obviously a genius, and picked me over all my other golden retriever siblings. I saw that he had his eye on my sister, but I got right over there and tackled her so that he would pay attention to me instead. When he saw how tough I was, he decided that I'd be a good fit. I spent another week with my littermates in Boonsboro, MD until Mommy and Daddy got back from their vacation. They took me home and the first night I decided I'd fool them into thinking I was the best, calmest, puppy on the face of the earth. I slept for 10 straight hours and didn't even have an accident! In the next few days I was with them, I could see that they wouldn't get rid of me no matter what (suckers) so I let my true crazy self come out.

I passed my Puppy Class exam!

Boy, they sure do make it difficult to focus during those Puppy Class exams! I mean, they put me in a small space with lots of other puppies, and expect me to be able to focus on what my mommy is asking me to do?!? Well, I was able to pass, luckily, but it was hard trying to listen. All I wanted to was play with Buster and Angel. They are my other golden retriever friends in the class. Actually, Buster is an older boy, and he is soooo cute. He barely knows I'm alive though, and despite every effort I make to play with him, he ignores me *sigh* I was able to steal a treat one of his treat's though... now THAT made him notice me. But I was able to listen enough to pass the test. I did Sit, Down, Sit-Stay, Down-Stay, Come, and Leave it. "Leave it" - now there is one command I just don't get. They basically put a treat in my face, drop it on the ground in front of me, then don't let me eat it. Honestly humans, that is just not nice. If you don't want me to have it, why the heck are you throwing it on the ground right in front of me? Duh.
Anyway, as a reward for passing my exam, they let me run through a tunnel full of treats! I hope mommy buys one of THOSE tunnels for the backyard!
