Arrival Story:
My mother-in-law, husband and I went to a yard sale and they had a sign saying free "beagle" to good home. We met the "beagle" and they told us they had to get rid of her because of a new baby coming soon. My mother-in-law took her home, even though my husband and I would have loved to have her, but we lived in an apartment. A couple weeks later we had bought a house and my mother-in-law had realized within that time that the dog was too hyper for her ailing body to take care of, so my husband and I took her in. Of course we had our suspicions that she wasn't a beagle, maybe a mix, but there diffentaly was a more prominate dog type. We were told by a nice old man that she looks as if she has some walker in her; we did our research and the first picture we seen we knew without a doubt that our doggy is a walker.

A week after we had Ayla at our home my husband and I got married so she went on our honeymoon with us, which was camping. And she knows that when we pick up the leash she is to sit down until we get the leash on her. Well one day we were getting ready to leave the camp site to go fishing and my husband said "OK Ayla what are you suppose to do when I pick up the leash"? And while she was sitting she barked/whinned what sounded like to us "I wanna go".

I have some bad news...my mom and dad got TWO more cats. These ones don't want to play with me either. I heard mom say that as soon as the white stuff goes away (I can't remember what she called it) and they put up the fence she might consider getting me a doggy brother or sister. That would be SOOOOO much fun. Daddy wasn't too sure about it though. He said I am a handful, I can't help it I just love to play. I know if I had a doggy buddy I might think about leaving the cats, birds, pillows, socks, shoes, tissues, paper towel holders, etc. alone...I said THINK about it. Well my mommy should have pictures of my new brother and sister on catster soon, so if anybody wants to see them hairballs check back within the week. BYE!! WOOF

Well it has been a long time since I wrote. A few new things have happened since the last time I wrote. My mommy and daddy adopted two kittys. I like kittys. I like to chase them all around the house. I like to lick them too, but mommy and daddy tell me no because apparently the kittys don't like it, maybe that is why they whin when I do it. The only thing I don't like about them is when mommy or daddy is petting them. Why should they be petted, I was here first. Sometimes mommy will pet both the little kitten (Colby) and me at the same time. But I still wish she was only petting me. To see my new little brother and sister look at their pictures on my home page...Colby is the kitten and Patches is Colby's mom.

Oh last night mommy and daddy took me outside at night time. We all sat outside. I loved rolling in the tall green grass, mommy and daddy need to cut it. I was trying to play with them, but they kept looking up in the sky; they were talking about some shooting stars or something. I don't know what shooting stars are, but they were having fun watching them; I was having fun being outside with my two favorite humans.
