Arrival Story:
One day we got up and for the 72nd week in a row Eileen was looking at dog websites. This day however Tom agreed to her suggestion of going to see the dogs available from RocketDog rescue. She was particularly interested in meeting a small cute puppy named AppleJack. When they got to Petco no rocketdogs were there yet except one man with a rottweiller/shepherd. Tom and Eileen didn't think he was part of rocket dog and almost left. It turned out that he was from Rocket Dog and they were just running a little late. The dog's name was Kelly and while Tom and Eileen met many dogs that day, none of them were as smart or friendly as Kelly. Still, Eileen had been sure the dog she would get would be named Jango. After many walks and talks, near the end of the day, Eileen turned to Kelly and said "Jango, Sit" Kelly promptly sat down and looked happily at Eileen. It was done. Less than 30 minutes later, Jango Kelly was in the back seat driving with her new family to her forever home.

Bio:
Jango Kelly's original owners trained her well but couldn't keep her when they moved. They gave her to the care of Animal Care & Control who rejected her for adoption for being "snappy". She was put on death row and farmed out to Rocket Dog where we found her. She is far from snappy. I'd be snappy too if I was in a kennel with a bunch of unfamiliar scared dogs where it was loud and smelly.
