I was born in Louisiana and was sent North by a rescue group to find a home. I wonderful woman took care of me and my sister until a forever homes could be found. One day my soon to be Mom saw my picture on Petfinders.com and fell madly in love with me. She contacted my foster Mom and the process for my adopted began. Being that I’m a Catahoula and my foster Mom knew that I would require someone that was able to bring me up right they had some long conversations before my foster Mom felt this would be a good family for me. You see I have a lot of energy and am very smart so I need a big fenced in yard and a strong pack leader who would be consistent no mater how many times I might test my place in my new pack. Next my foster Mom checked references and with the Vet my new Mom had used for the dog they had lost after 17 years.
All went well and soon my new family came to get me. My new boy sat in the back seat of the car with me and held me for the 4hrs it took to get home. I was nervous but I could tell they were good people and loved me from the start. We stopped so I could go to the bathroom and exercise and the family took turns trying to reassure me that everything would be OK, that no mater what they would love and take care of me forever.
