Arrival Story:
Heard about story in the news about 140 pomeranians rescued from animal mill in L.I. New York. Waited until ready for adoption. Boyfriend is resident of township of Brookhaven. Waited in line in front of animal shelter at 7am. Line was already forming. Sign in sheet was used. Police had to intervene when people were getting rowdy and wanted to cut the line. Almost couldn't get in when they asked why I signed my name. Had to explain that my bf was parking his car (which he got a ticket for parking on the side of the highway). The cop asked how long before he arrived. I told him not even 5 minutes. He did his time with me waiting in line to adopt. By the time it was my turn to enter and to pick out a dog, it was 12:30pm. My bf saw him in one of the cages with two other poms. He indicated to me the one with the "button nose". I asked "where? I don't see one with a button nose". He said "he's in the back". I told the animal shelter worker to get him out. Once he pulled him out and brought him in my arms I knew it was him. My little big eye, button nose dream come true. Yes, I dreamed of him all my life. When I was a little girl, I wished for a puppy that looked like one of those baby pup white seals on my poster which I hung on my wall. I got my prayers answered. When I picked him out, I thought he was gray, but after three washings and some cuttings of that matted fur, he turned out to be cream/tan colored. So it's ironic that I named him MICKEY.

Bio:
He's was the only cute "button nose"/short muzzle? Not at all "fox-like" like the rest of his family/relatives.
