Arrival Story:
We began looking for a dog after we lost our Nicki pup at the age of almost 18. Not even a month later we began searching the Spca and sadly we only saw alot of Pit mix type dogs. Our Nicki was a small dog (poodle/shnauzer) . Truthfully we were afraid of the big dogs. I didn't know that they could be so family friendly. The Spca is a wonderful organization. Luckily for us my husband found the Leauge for Animal welfare. You can see the available dogs online. The day we visited, we saw Carson a pup still around 4 months old, had just been turned in by someone who found him on the street. We don't know his story , but after he was checked out by the Vet and nuetered we were aloud to adopt him.

Bio:
Carson has issues. I didn't know that dogs could be so fearful. Carson was not exposed to very much during his early life we guess. It was so bad that he was afraid to go outside at first. Cars scare him, bikes too . He is very shy. He needs to come to check you out on his own terms. Treats always help. He is making progress. We used to take him for a drag. Now we take him for walks. He still spooks easily but we keep working to improve this.I think that I am a lap dog. Dad says I like a blanket. I love to tease my lil sis Bailey. King of the hill is our favorite game. We have a pile of dirt that we play on . I like to hide my bones in the dirt. Life is good.

Bones bones bones. I can't get enough of them. I really like to hide them in rooms Bailey isn't allowed. The basement is great because Bailey is afraid to go down there. Sometimes mom gets upset with me because I fuss trying to steal Baileys bone . You see I hid mine an now I have nothing to chew on , so hers is looking pretty good. Gotta go it time for a treat.

The heat goes on and the heat goes on. Will it ever rain? I just love to walk under the trees in the rain. Mom took us ( me and Bailey) for a walk early. Bailey just wants to chase butterflies. I was spooked by a big truck today. Mom made me sit and listen because she is trying to help me get over it. We got to go the long block today. That was pretty nice. It was almost too hot to want to be outside. Mom bought some new dog food called Canidea . Its supposed to be good for me. Tasted pretty good. Gotta go Bailey has my bone.
