Arrival Story:
i had been working side jobs all spring and saving my money to buy my first dog. after selling lemonade all day in 95 degree heat at a fair, i wanted to go check out these pups i found for sale...i waited at a nearby bar for my boyfriend to pick me up and i had a few shots while i was waiting...needless to say i got a little tipsy...ok, i was drunk! once we got there, i picked up the first pup at my feet. i couldn't put her down. i figured i had to give the man money if i wanted to leave and not have him call the cops for stealing his little white furball, so i forked over $250. being drunk with a pocketful of cash and having the sweetest looking puppy in the world in my hands wasn't the best way to start out being a new mommy, but i lucked out...she's my best friend. she's super smart and she makes me smile. i should have named her jaegermeister since that was the reason i got her....:) Maedchen passed away on January 25th 2006 of suspected cardiomyopothy. She was my very best friend, and i think of her every day. I miss her so much I sometimes can't think straight...But she's always in my heart, and I know she is with me where ever I go.

Bio:
maedchen is German for 'little girl'. i grew up in Germany, and she is a German shepherd, so she needed a German name! maedchen is all white with just a little peach on the tips of her ears, and end of her tail. she has a light blush on her back. one of her ears recently began to flop...but it gives her a sweet look...my little girl...:)
